LIGHTENED OAK KITCHEN
An extensive renovation of a homeowner’s family room left the adjacent kitchen appearing unequal in style and design. As a result, Shabby Chateau assessed the entire space to determine the aesthetic adjustments that needed to be made. Overall, the kitchen’s dark wooden features needed lightened.
All oak entry points were painted lighter to match the rest of the home and to brighten the space, while lighter upper cabinets and contrastingly dark lower cabinets were selected to add drama. The old hanging light fixture was replaced with an elegant alternative and metallic hardware was added to the cabinets. The renovation resulted in a completely modernized space, featuring ample light and contemporary details.
