INVITING DINING ROOM
During this renovation project, a small dining room, large enough to fit just a table and the chairs surrounding it, was transformed into an expansive space, suitable for entertaining. To achieve a comfortable atmosphere, an old fireplace surround was secured and painted to have an aged patina. And in order to tie the dining area to the rest of the shabby-elegant log home, a two-step stain and paint white wash technique was applied to barn beams before installing into the ceiling. To complete the room, a new distressed dining table was hand-selected.
