Suburban Reno
From the first meeting with this client there was a connection on many levels… Shabby Chateau embraces all styles, but incorporating the client’s preferred styles of modern farmhouse with a touch of boho made this first floor total renovation exciting at every turn. A wall was torn down that separated the dining room from the kitchen, making a new farmhouse kitchen flow more effortlessly from the cozy, moody farmhouse living room with some boho accents. The palette created a rich feel throughout the home. BM’s Tyler Taupe provided the backdrop for the rich, earthy colors in the area rug and makes the deep green velvet sofa pop. The oak living room floor was refinished and a beautiful waterproof floor with real wood top layer was a great match for the rest of the main level of the home. Java-stained custom cabinets in the kitchen really draw you into the space with its contrasting white quartz and gray veined hexagon backsplash. A large lantern over the dining table completed the look. As soon as visitors step through the freshly painted black door adorned with new brushed gold hardware and enter the foyer featuring a picture wall and board and batten accent walls, an intriguing journey of exploration unfolds, promising not to disappoint.
